Battery storage · Adelaide

A battery only earns its place if it matches how you use power.

Storage has to suit your existing solar, evening usage, tariff, equipment location, phase, switchboard and selected backup conversations—not a generic package.

What we check first

Six details that change a storage conversation.

A battery is not automatic for every home with solar. The useful starting point is what you want it to do and what the property already has.

Current solar
What is on the roof now, how it is performing, and whether the inverter and charger setup still make sense with storage.
Evening usage
How much power you use after sunset versus during the day—often the biggest reason people look at storage.
Tariffs & plans
Your current plan and when electricity is used can change the storage conversation. We check the details with you rather than assume an outcome.
Backup priorities
Which circuits matter if the grid drops, and what a selected backup path can and cannot cover.
Location, phase & board
Equipment space, phase, switchboard room, access and site limits all shape a practical install.
Future plans
EV charging, heat pumps, pool loads or other work you may stage so today’s battery does not fight tomorrow’s plans.
Tariffs and timing

Tariffs are part of the discussion, not a promise.

Your tariff and when the household uses power can change how storage is considered. We look at those details with the site, existing equipment and household priorities.

We do not use this page to predict a result, price or eligibility. The relevant current details are checked when a proposal is being considered.

Storage paths to discuss

Three routes. One site conversation.

Each is a storage path to discuss where the property and household goals make it suitable. The discussion still depends on solar, phase, switchboard, loads, tariff, space and backup priorities.

The assessment

Purpose, then property, then options.

We keep the household decision in front of the product decision—including retrofits to systems already on the roof.

Use the equipment decision hub
01 · Purpose

What should storage do for you?

Evening use, selected backup, tariff settings and the wider home energy plan.

02 · Property

What does the site allow?

Current solar, inverter limits, switchboard, equipment location, space and access.

03 · Options

Which path is worth discussing?

Storage now, a staged approach, or other practical next steps—explained in plain language.

Battery questions

Clear expectations before equipment talk.

A useful conversation makes backup, existing solar, tariffs and future plans explicit.

Can a home battery provide backup?

Selected backup can be discussed, but the result depends on the proposed design, wiring and circuits included. Whole-home backup is not assumed.

Can a battery be added to existing solar?

It may be possible. The existing system, inverter, switchboard, available space and household goals need to be checked first.

How do tariffs fit in?

Your current plan and when the household uses power are part of the assessment. We check the relevant details before recommending a storage path.

Installer feedback

Storage should look considered when it is finished.

Start with a conversation

Talk through your property and storage goals.

We’ll assess whether storage suits the house—and explain the tariff and site assumptions clearly. A recent bill or quote is optional and can provide helpful context.
